TFRC’s PhD student Jen Ballie has been invited to deliver a talk at an event curated by the Makers Guild at the V&A. The event is titled ‘Making Textiles’ and explores DIY and digital developments.
Jen is exploring co-design and designing workshops for public/consumer engagement. Jen’s workshop is one theme within of a series of different concepts all exploring textiles, drawing upon the diverse approaches by a range of really interesting designers. Jen’s approach relates well with TED’s TEN strategy ‘Design to Dematerialise and Develop Systems & Services’ as she explores concepts of interaction design and the use of social and digital media.
